Choosing a personal GPS tracking devices for hiking

Image
Models specifically intended for mounted use in an automobile or on a boat will generally be too bulky and heavy to hold for extended periods. If ou want a GPS intended for handheld use in hiking and backpacking,  there are some great models that can work well for you. Qbit Mini  Personal GPS Tracker  was lighter and graphically displayed my path as I created it-both features I like. The newly-launched Qbit Personal GPS Tracker will give you a completely new level of awareness and convenience. It stands out by compact, lightweight design for both excellent mobility and reliability. Loaded with GPS, LBS and WIFI positioning, Qbit enables you to view real-time location from the computer, tablet or smart phone. It is capable of withstanding extreme environment. Being stylish, tough and accurate, Qbit is idea for kids, the elder and people with special needs. But there are prices to pay-in size, weight, and money-ifyou don't already have the computer. And yo...

Linking Mini GPS Trackers, Maps, and Coordinate Systems

Image
Linking Mini GPS Trackers, Maps, and Coordinate Systems Some people think that after they have a  GPS Tracking Device , they really don’t need a map, especially if the receiver has built-in mapping capabilities. This isn’t necessarily true. GPS receivers are best used in conjunction with maps, whether those maps are paper or digital. Here are some of the reasons why: Detail : Most maps on handheld GPS receivers don’t offer the detail of  full-size paper or digital maps, especially topographic maps and nautical  charts. Size : A GPS receiver’s screen is pretty darn small, and it’s just about  impossible to get the big picture that a full-size map can give you. Backup : If you have a paper map with you and know how to use it, the  map becomes an important backup if your GPS receiver’s batteries fail  or if you encounter poor satellite coverage. Gadget lovers might consider a paper map and magnetic compasses primitive, but they don’t  require bat...

The availability of Wireless IP Camera and lense

Image
Wireless IP Camera , Lens Most video-dome systems use high sensitivity color cameras that can be operated in: (1) color (2) monochrome (3) switch-over from color to monochrome automatically. The CCD cameras have an image format of 1/6 or 1/4 inch. These smaller sensor formats allow for a compact zoom lens and permit the small compact design that results in high pan/tilt speeds. Overall camera resolution is typically 480 TV lines for color and 570 TV lines for monochrome. Values of 1 lux sensitivity for color and 0.06 lux or less for monochrome are typical. Switchover from color to monochrome is automatic when the light level falls below a predetermined level. Cameras are also provided with DSP and automatic brightness control (ABC) so that the camera can view scenes containing both bright and dark areas. To capture image detail in both light and dark regions, Panasonic Inc. uses the Super Dynamic SDII technology, which records the scene at two different exposures and then electron...

Home security cameras electronic image-splitting displays

Image
There are many video devices and features that can significantly enhance the effectiveness of a  Wireless Security Camera System . These include: electronic image-splitting and compression, data annotation, picture-in-a-picture, and video scan-reversal. An electronic image-splitting device is interposed in between the camera and the monitor, VCR, DVR, or video printer. It combines parts of the scenes of two or more cameras and displays them on one monitor. The use of the image splitter increases security in several ways. (1) decreases the number of monitors (2) permits the guard to view a monitor with two or three scenes on it rather than one (3) reduces the number of recorders  required by combining several scenes onto one video signal. Image splitters do not display the entire video scene from the cameras on the screen. They only display part of each camera scene: 1/2 of the scene if it is a 2-way split, 1/3 if 3-way split, and 1/4 if 4-way split.  It is often adva...

Electronic Tracker positioning at present and in the future

Image
Positioning with data link is not the same as referenced positioning (a method that allows measurements from more than one receiver to be combined and processed together in order to enhance accuracy), This external information includes measurements from other receivers, but it also includes other information which can be used to improve not only accuracy, but also other parameters in the specification, such as TTFF and sensitivity. It is very important for many applications to be able to provide instant positioning, i.e. to avoid the necessity of tracking a satellite signal and reading a navigation message. It takes up to 36 s to read a complete navigation message for a GPS L1 signal to ensure the decoding necessary for positioning data. If navigation message data are available through some other data link, it is still necessary to decode a time mark from the navigation message, which may require up to 6 s. BGPS (and AGPS before that) are very important for many applications because th...

How to protect Home Security Cameras from pollutants

Image
Indoor Housings Indoor housings must protect the  Home Security Cameras  and lens from pollutants such as dust and other particulate matter, a corrosive atmosphere, and tampering or vandalism. Indoor housings are constructed of painted or anodized aluminum, painted steel, stainless steel, and several types of plastic. The material for plastic housings must be flameproof or flame-retardant, as designated by local codes and UL recommendations. The housings must have sufficient strength to protect the lens and camera, and be sturdily mounted onto a fixed wall or ceiling mount, or recessed in a wall or ceiling. The lens should view through a clear window made of safety glass or plastic. Recommended plastic window material is either high impact acrylic or polycarbonate with a mar-resistant finish. The electrical input/output access locations should be designed and positioned for easy maintenance. For easy access and servicing of internal parts, the top half of the housing shou...

Personal GPS Tracker is allowing elderly people to live independently longer

Image
Personal Tracking Device  is allowing elderly people and those with limited functionality to live independently longer, with caretakers doing their work remotely. General Electric, for example, has a product in which ubiquitous sensors can accurately and unobtrusively determine an independent elderly person’s activity. Currently, simple tracking systems are more common, such as a GPS-programmed “geofence” that sends an alert to a caretaker if the person has left a predefined area. The device is targeted to people who suffer from Alzheimer’s disease, although it can be used with children and teenagers as well. Lawmakers should be more aware of the possibility of caretakers abusing devices such as the i-TAG and the more sophisticated sensor systems. If an abused person leaves his or her home to escape, the caretaker would be notified instantly. And if gadgets or software monitor call logs as well, an abused person might have even more limited recourse. The abusive caretaker situ...
